I Miss You All

I Miss You All

I miss you all

and do recall

your many poems there -

so if today,

I am away,

remember, I do care.

I get busy,

often dizzy,

running circles 'round.

If on a dime,

I could change time,

I'd be all me, unwound.

Some do write much

and many touch

a chord within my soul.

But some write few

with vibrant hue

enhancing life's great mural.

God's love transcends,

among us friends,

through His begotten Son -

so I'll be frank,

I want to thank

you, each and ev'ry one.

I am in debt

and won't forget

that love you showed in kind.

And like cement

each kind comment

embosses aging mind.

Though poets know

old poets go

to meet Christ when they die,

may humble days

bring rhyming praise

to God who reigns on high.

It's such a thrill

to do God's will

in writing lines that rhyme.

But there must be

humility

in ev'ry author's chime.

I miss you all

and do recall

your many poems there -

but if today,

I am away,

remember, I do care.
