God's Puzzle

God's Puzzle

The bible is like a puzzle,

each piece contains a plan.

With the sixty-six pieces in this puzzle,

the outcome is so grand.

Many authors added their pieces,

inspired to write God’s design.

God was the one who gave them the pieces,

so that each one would fall in line.

Not even one piece could be missing,

or His plan could not be complete.

However, they beautifully came together,

and the plan was oh so sweet.

Still men kept trying to change the pieces,

to the way they wanted them to fit.

It made the pieces harder to see,

so the plan they could not get.

They cut away the good stuff,

and they added of their own.

They could not see where God had warned them,

to leave His plan alone.

Darkness quickly filled the place,

and the design they could not view.

The puzzle God had given them,

they replaced with something new.

However, God still kept His plan intact,

With His puzzle still complete.

Those who were now His enemy’s

would be crushed beneath His feet.

While all who took His plan to heart,

and accepted His gift of grace.

Could gaze upon His wonderful puzzle,

and clearly see His face.

It started with the fall of man,

and every puzzle piece now would cost.

When He put the final piece in place,

His plan would save the lost.

For there in this picture laid out in His puzzle,

a rugged cross came into sight.

There on that cross was the Son of God,

and the puzzle was filled with light.

Then as you looked more closely,

the pieces began changing again.

A Stream of blood flowed from the Lord,

to wash away all sin.

Many people have viewed this puzzle,

just to try to see His plan.

Yet they missed the most important piece,

which was at the Father’s right hand.

One day that piece will finally return,

and the puzzle will be so sweet.

Then the world will see the truth at last,

God’s plan will be complete.
