SPIRIT
Oh lovely life your ebb and flow
Must cease one day
And take the senses that we hold so dear
That tender touch
That perfumed rose
That glorious light
Sand in our toes
Hearts a flutter at first love
Sweet little voices
Blessings from above
All things we hold, see or hear
And their loss we often fear
To cling to these is a futile quest
For in the clinging
We may miss the best
The promises our creator gives
When in our lives
His spirit lives.

About the Poet
I live in Queensland Australia with my husband son and daughter. I love the Lord and it is my passion to express my faith in whatever way He inspires me to.
At the moment it's poetry.
