Rusty Remembrances

Rusty remembrances

Rusty remembrances
occur like salt on the edge of nowhere
brittle and tangy and stale
One must devour with eyes of brave brevity
or spit out with contempt
those passing incidences
that will not in present tenses ever occur again
but will leave one mulling
over their incessantnesses
their cloying clenching determination to stay
inside ones head and heart
grappling with one's nows
to make their presences felt.
Spit. I spit .
