New day

Other Poems by Edith Agbo

New day Nature calls it night
it robes in black
man is no friend of blackness
it brings memories of the night

embrace the day
at the early hours of  day
disguised in black
it deceives the fearful

embrace the day
at the early hours of day
still robed in black
the clock strikes midnight

embrace the day
the night is spent
it is still dark
but a new day breaks.
