PILGRIM
How shall man explain his Ordeal?
Around what shall define his thought
Whichever way he may turn
He discovers nothing but a journey.
The cry of a baby is heard
Reality welcomes a baby in sorts
The infant responds with smiles
This my friend is the beginning of the journey.
He sleeps, yet he wakes
He cries even when he laughs
He hates while loving still
The certainty is his journey.
The livelong pursuit of survival
Immeasurable appetite for comfort
The activities of growth through life
These only help ascend the ladder of journey.
A journey to where, he does not know
A journey wherefrom, he lacks knowledge
The sure fact of his Pilgrim remains
That he is born a sojourner.
The cry of a baby is heard
The last breath of the aged is witnessed
Growth is made known in human life
Yet man seldoms discovers he is but a pilgrim
Man is a mystery on earth
But greater a mystery is the journey
Once started, it keeps going
Experiential and yet perpetual
Brag not about what you have
Mourn not over what you?ve lost
Be patient about what shall come to you
Never forget your life is a journey
The change from sorrow to joy
The development of now from then
Hope for tomorrow is unfailing
All these point towards the journey
Oh, Journey from where
Ouch, Journey to where
Umh, Journey. The life of man
Worry not. Journey it shall remain |
