My Praying Dad

While thinking back to childhood days I can recall my dad praying,
from the bottom of our stairway I could hear what he was saying,
Praise you Lord, praise your holy name, thank you for dieing on that
old rugged cross, then I heard halleluiah, halleluiah, dear Lord help
unsaved loved ones that are lost.

Lord, thank you for your many blessing's you mean everything to me,
and please keep your mighty hand upon my family. Now as a little girl I
saw something very special in my dad,and wondered who this was that
made my dad so glad.

Sometimes I'd ask dad questions then he would take me by my hand, and
try to answer the best he could so I would understand,on bended knee beside
his bed dad prayed for loved ones dear,I'm sure his burdened heart was lifted
as he shed many a tear.

Dad taught me  all about Jesus, then one day he took his bible in hand and led me
to the Lord, I was saved at eleven, dad told me of a place God has gone to prepare
for us,with streets of gold,a beauitful home called heaven.

I learned alot from my dad more than words could ever say,and even though it's been many
years since my dad has passed away ,I know I'll join him hand in hand in heaven some glad day.

Oh,Lord help me always remember the words of my praying dad,for everytime they come back to me,

I'll always thank you for giving me a 'Precious praying dad
