Evidence When I feel despondent I remember how You lifted me from an empty life When I am sinful I remember that You have forgotten When I feel alone I remember that You are always with me When I am afraid I remember that You are in control When I feel insignificant I remember that You count me as special When I am insufferable I remember Your humility When I feel unable I remember that You make all things possible When I feel incompetent I remember that You gifted me When I think I am in command I remember how much I need You When I am in doubt I am reassured by the evidence of Your Presence in my life It is enough

About the Poet
I am a former psychology professor at a bible college, Christian liberal arts colleges, and a seminary. I also spoke mainly for church and para-church organizations, and have recently retired from my clinical practice where I did psychotherapy mostly with Christians. My life bible verse is II Timothy 1:7--"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
Currently, I write, paint, dance, volunteer and read voraciously among other things. Who said that retirement is boring? Not me.
