My Prayer for Others

Father, I come to you,
Show me what I need to do.
Show me what to pray for,
Lead me to an open door.

I sit and wait for your direction,
Who needs your protection?
Who needs healing?
I come to You, kneeling.

Who needs comfort to the soul?
Whose life needs to be whole?
Who's lonely for friends?
Who needs to be cleansed?

Who needs to be fed?
Who is misled?
Who needs a home?
How about those who roam?

How about the children without a dad or mom?
I know, You hold them in Your palm.
How about the widows all alone?
Make Yourself known.

How about those who need Your touch?
I pray they know You love them very much.
Father, there is so much to pray for,
I give all my prayer to You.
And I know Father, You will come through.

I thank You, Father, for receiving my prayers,
Thank You, Father, I know You care.
Thank You for sending Your son,
I ask for Your will to be done.

In the name of Jesus,
Amen

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers and intercessions, and giving thanks to be made for all men.
Timothy 2:1

About the Poet
I'm a wife, full time mother of 7, and a grandmother of 1. I have served in the children's ministry for 14 years. I enjoy sharing Christ with others and writing poems. I believe according to the Scriptures that we should share with one another the things of the Lord and the things of the heart. The author of Ephesians tells us to speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:19-20) You can read more of my poems at Dinky's Hum Drum Journal @ www.bridget247.blogspot.com I hope that you will be ministered and inspired by the poems that God has put on my heart. My favorite quote is: Gods past faithfulness deserves our present trust
