Down on the Farm
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by David L. Clingerman

Down on the farm,
from the kitchen come sweet smells,
Dinner for the farm hands,
Things are mighty swell.

Down on the farm,
The cock crows his song,
The hen cackles her victory,
she has set so long!

Down on the farm,
Things are serene!
The old pump handle,
stands balanced and clean.

Down on the farm,
A hog squeals loud,
His butt hits the electric fence,
in the hoggish crowd!

Down on the farm,
the corn stands so tall,
waiting for the harvest,
and its wonderous haul.

Down to the farm,
My heart gets away,
from the hectic run of life,
to find a place to stay!
