GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
         His faithful love endures forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods.
         His faithful love endures forever.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords.
         His faithful love endures forever.
4 Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles.
         His faithful love endures forever.
5 Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully.
         His faithful love endures forever.
6 Give thanks to him who placed the earth among the waters.
         His faithful love endures forever.
7 Give thanks to him who made the heavenly lights—
         His faithful love endures forever.
8 the sun to rule the day,
         His faithful love endures forever.
9 and the moon and stars to rule the night.
         His faithful love endures forever.
- Psalm 136:1-9(New Living Translation)

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said) 15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions."  - Matthew 7:15-20(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Four ways to grow old gracefully: (1) Fear less, hope more. (2) Eat less, chew more. (3) Talk less, say more. (4) Hate less, love more.  - Abigail Van Buren -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

All sunshine, without a little rain, makes a desert.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

If I had it to do over again, I would listen more - even to the youngest child.

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day but very cold.  High temperature today was 17 degrees.  Low temperature last night was 7 degrees.  I went out today to have lunch with my brother, Charley, at Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill.  Then I went to the post office to pick up my mail.  The roads are snow packed but I had no problem in driving.  The post office windows were closed.  I suppose it was because of the weather.  This is the first time that I can remember the post office being closed due to weather conditions.  The rest of the day I spent at home with my cats.  The snow didn't melt any today because it never got above freezing.

The cats are fine.  They are all inside at present except Lucy, the stray.  She will not stay in the house for more than a few minutes.  Little Girl is in the recliner tonight and Rascal is lying on the floor.  The picture tonight is another one of Emmy.

At 9:40 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 12 degrees.  I will see you next time.
