GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
      I will protect those who trust in my name.
 15 When they call on me, I will answer;
      I will be with them in trouble.
      I will rescue and honor them.
 16 I will reward them with a long life
      and give them my salvation.”
- Psalm 91:14-16(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said) 11 "For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”  - Luke 14:11(New Living Translation).

NOTES

We had sunshine until about noon in Moore, Oklahoma, and then it became cloudy.  At 6:45 p.m. we are having some real light rain with a temperature of 45 degrees.  I haven't been out in back yard today but I have walked out on the deck a few times.  I had lunch at home.  This afternoon I went to Walmart Neighborhood Grocery and Crest Food Store.  I just feel like sharing a little more of my life with my darling Flonnie but I will include it in another paragraph so you can skip it if you don't want to read it.

On January 18, 1946, I had my first date with Flonnie having arrived home from the Army on January 16.  I continued to go see her two or three times a week and she lived about 20 miles or so from my home. It didn't take very long for us to realize that we loved each other and I continued to see her as often as possible until she graduated from high school about the middle of May.  In the meantime we had purchased the engagement and wedding rings.  I loved her as much as I loved any person and she told me the same thing.  We got married on May 25, 1946 and she became a part of me for the rest of her life.  In other words we were one.  Two days after we were married she and I went with some more of my family to Plainview, Texas, looking for work.  We stayed with my sister and her family for a few weeks and then Flonnie and I rented a little room from some nice people which was a part of their house.  Flonnie became pregant soon after we were married as happens so often.  I worked at a Creamery in Plainview making butter at 50 cents per hour later raised to 55 cents per hour.  We soon realized that Texas was not the place for us so in July, 1946, we headed back to Oklahoma.  We have always been deeply in love with each other.  I have written enough for tonight so maybe I will continue with my story later.  Flonnie went to be with the Lord suddenly on Febuary 24, 2008.  We had been married 61 years and 9 months.  We have three children whom I also love dearly.  I still love Flonnie as much as ever and I often wonder what our relationship will be in Heaven.  I long to see her again.  Jesus said in Matthew 10:37 that if we loved father, mother, son or daughter more than Him that we are not worthy of Him.  But I sincerely hope that I have a loving relationship with my Flonnie in Heaven.

I will see you next time.  In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
