Good Things
Thursday, July 3, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. - 2 Corinthians 4:6(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have One who speaks to the Father in our defense - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. - 1 John 2:1-2(New International Version).

NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 85 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the newspaper office to pay for my subscription for the next three months. While there, I visited with my good friend, Pat, who attended high school with my daughter, June. I went to the post office and then to the CVS store for some items. I took a nap and Itty Bitty napped with me. I put treats outside for the cats around 6:10 p.m. At about 8:00 p.m. I had a call from Charley's son, Paul, who lives in Olathe, Kansas. He said that he couldn't get Charley on Charley's home phone or cell phone. He asked if I would go check to see if Charley was ok and of course I went right then to Charley's home. Charley was ok, he had been working outside and didn't have his cell phone with him. It is nice that Charley and I can check on each other when needed. That is why the Good Things are late tonight.
The cats are fine. I have seen all of them this evening. Rascal is on a desk near me at present and he is the only one with me. I hadn't seen Lucy's twin in about three days but it came back this evening. It ate two little bowls of dry food so it must have been hungry.
Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July! Everett
