Good Things
Monday, June 23, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. - Proverbs 4:23(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
10 Those who know Your Name will trust in You, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. - Psalm 9:10(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
Lets treat others as we would like to be treated, remembering that we don't always know the burden they may be carrying. - Cindy Hess Kasper -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
If we pause to think, we'll find cause to thank. - From Reminisce Magazine -
God's truth is the best protection against Satan's lies - From Our Daily Bread -
The woods would be silent if only those birds sang who sang the best. - From Reminisce Magazine -
LOOKING BACK IN MY TIME:
I had quite a lot of experience with horses and mules when I was growing up on the farm. This was before the day of the tractor, so we used horses and mules for plowing our fields and for transporting farm items and even making various trips to town, church or other places in a wagon since most of the time we didn't have an automobile. At times we would ride horses to different events around the country. - From Everett's Writings -
NOTES:
We had rain this morning before and after daylight. I don't know what time the rain stopped but it stopped quite a while before I left for lunch at 11:15 a.m. We had almost a quarter of an inch of rain at my house. High temperature today was 81 degrees. I went to the post office, then to Walgreen's to check on a prescription, then to the Petsense store and then to Walmart. I took my nap with Smokey and Tony. Friendly was nearby on a shelf. I put food out for the cats around 6:10 p.m. and sat with them for about 30 minutes. Thanks for reading the Good Things. Remember, if you would like to be dropped just let me know and I will understand.
The cats are fine except Beau is not eating and keeps trying to cough something up. He may have something in his throat. I will take him to the vet in the morning if he still has the problem. Rascal and Smokey are with me in the den at present. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Tuesday. Everett
