Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
14 For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. - Psalm 94:14(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(From Peter's Sermon) 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’" - Acts 2:17-21(New International Version).

A QUOTE
Anyone who wants to live forever with God needs to say "I do" to Jesus. - Ed Forster -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
A true friend is somebody who can make us do what we can do. - Emerson -
Make yourself an honest person, and then you may be sure that there is one rascal less in the world. - Carlyle -

NOTES
The day started with fog in McAlester, Oklahoma. The skies cleared this afternoon. High temperature today was 61 degrees and the low temperature was 39 degrees. I saw Charley and Bill at noon. I went to the post office. I took a nap this afternoon without a cat. I gave the cats their treats outside at 4:30 p.m. There was not much going on in my life today. Since last time I have heard from Alice, Pastor J.T. and Quentin. I am always happy to receive e-mails. If anyone would ever like to comment on anything in the Good Things, your comments are welcome, pro or con.
The cats are fine. None are with me at present but they have been coming and going all evening. I have seen all of them this evening.

Have a nice Wednesday!
I will see you next time, In Christian Love, Everett.
