GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

17 “O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!"  - Jeremiah 32:17(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

14 Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son (Jesus) also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. 15 Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.  - Hebrews 2:14-15(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

An action that takes courage is doing what is right when everyone else isn't.
- Dr. Steve Stephens -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

There's plenty of room at the top; there's just no room to sit down.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a cloudy day with temperatures in the sixties.  We had rain last night from about 10:30 p.m. for the rest of the night.  We received almost 2 inches of rain in McAlester, which was needed.  I had lunch with Charley, went to the post office, Walgreens and Family Dollar Store.  I came home and watched the movie "Lassie Come Home" made in 1942.  The first time I remember watching it was in the 40's when I was in service.  I took a nap with Rascal.  I put food outside this evening.  The picture tonight is another of Itty Bitty.

I don't know how many years I have been sending out e-mails similar to the Good Things but it has been several years.  As I get older I know that I ramble more in my notes and mention my cats more and it will probably get worse.  The best part of the Good Things is not the notes anyway.  I don't know how much longer I will be able to send the Good Things.  We are all in God's hands.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl on the couch and others elswhere.

At 10:10 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 61 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
