A Dying Saint
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

A Dying Saint

As I lie here,
On the blood-stained streets
Of Bethlehem's Manger Square.
Taking my last breath,
And shedding my last ounce of blood,
I look up to the sky,
And see the Bethlehem Star.

With very little life left in me,
I look beyond the Star.
Like Stephen of The New Testament,
I see my Lord Jesus leaving
His awesome throne room chair.
He walks toward the portals of heaven,
Inviting me to yield to death,
And find the peace I have so longed for,
By climbing these silver stairs.

Who will ring Nativity's Church tolling bell?
I cried out --
Barely, holding on to my earthly life.
Don't worry, says the standing Master,
I will call someone to take your place.
Come on up here!
Ring the golden bells of heaven,
For you have been redeemed,
By my amazing grace.

O' Bethlehem, I don't want to leave you alone,
To clean up this bloody mess;
Yet, my earthly life is now over,
So with a heart full of love,
I kiss you good-bye --
And will 24/7 pray for you
To soon experience heaven's best!
