A Journey Back Home

Naomi's husband and sons died,
In a land not their own;
She returned to her home-land,
Through God's providence --
But not alone.

Ruth, her daughter-in-law, had found
Hope in Naomi's faith;
To let Naomi return alone,
Would have been an act of uncertain fate.

Strangers in faith -- a common bond
Through Naomi's son's blood;
Naomi and Ruth built a never-failing bridge
Of friendship and redemptive love.

Ruth, the attractive and obedient Moabite,
Naomi, the wise and faithful Hebrew;
Are perfect role models of love and faith,
For every Arab, Christian and Jew.

Walk in their steps of loyalty, friendship,
And unconditional love;
Then, You will receive the blessing of
"Shalom"
From Our Heavenly Father above!
