There's a New Season on the Horizon

There's A New Season on the Horizon

Like winter some "seasons" in our lives
Stay way too long.
Some drag on and just when we think a new season is coming
Like spring, the sun is back but the rains bring a chill.
Are you tired of the season you are in?
Has it been a hard one, a long one?
Have you struggled one day at a time,
An hour at a time, a minute at a time?
Have you felt the chill right down to the bone?
Have you felt the emptiness?
Have you felt the heartache?
Does your soul need warming?
Has your First Love (your relationship with God)
Seemed to have lost the glow it once had?
Well, seasons only last for a designated time so hold on...
There's a new "season" on the horizon!
God will open up a window!
Fresh air will come in.
You will feel refreshed.
The Son will shine in your life once again.
God will restore.
You will have the strength you need.
God's mercies are new every morning.
That long, unwanted winter-like season won't last forever
So hold on.
God is working.
"Seasons have their reasons."
They are needed.
Each and every one has a purpose
But Hallelujah there's a new season on the horizon.

About the Poet
I am a Christian wife, mother, and grandma of five, including twin granddaughters. I love to write poetry, take nature photos, and collect buttons. I have close to 30,000 buttons. I am retired after more than 30 years of senior care including 13 years working with Alzheimers residents. I've been writing poetry (like my mom) since I was little. I still have my first poem. It was in a card I gave to my dad. As an adult I prayed for the gift of encouragement and poetry. I think it's so important to encourage others in their faith and also unbelievers. God has brought me through so much and I am thankful for my salvation. I asked Jesus into my heart and have never regretted a single moment. It was a true blessing when 3 of my poems where published. One in a local newspaper and two in different magazines. You can also find me on my facebook page at Whispers of Hope/Linda T. Reich where I post short devotionals, my nature photos and poems. Thank you. ♥
