The Rising Sun of 9/11 2003

The Rising Sun of 9/11 2003

In The House of The Rising Sun,
Is the name of a popular song of decades ago;
Today in the 9/11 sky of the rising sun,
I had a soul-stirring experience,
Far more valuable than all the world's oil,
Silver or gold.

A snapshot to remember, a 9/11 sunrise
So beautiful, so perfect and so true;
Setting against the Tennesse horizon
In a heavenly sky so clear and so blue.

On this day, the sun has risen a little slower,
And is shining a little less brighter
than at other days;
As if it too was pausing and remembering
That fateful day when earth lost its way.

On this second anniversary of 9/11,
I will never forget this unique rising
of Earth and Heaven's sun;
For today, even if it is for just a few hours,
Our nation, our global family, the Earth and Heaven
Will join hands and hearts, and once again become one.
