Portraits of War

Missles cruising,
Bombs exploding,
Amored tanks moving,
Loaded rifles shooting,
Mother's crying,
Children begging,
Soldiers praying,
Journalists reporting,
These are portraits of war.

The wounded treated,
The dead honored,
Nations humbled,
Our faith tested,
The enemy defeated,
Haunting fears arrested,
Peace granted,
God's will digested,
These too, are potraits of war.
