Come Before Winter...

Come Before Winter

Come before Winter,
Paul pleaded with young Timothy;
When Winter comes as it has these past few days,
We understand exactly what Paul means.

For The Apostle Paul, as well as for you and me,
Winter was often a harsh and difficult time;
Come before Winter he strongly encouraged,
While there is much warmth and much sunshine.

The heart has its share of winters,
When there is very little warmth, and hardly any light;
O Spirit of Jesus always come before our winters,
With your warmth of person
And your abiding presence ever so bright.
