My Place of Prayer

My Place of Prayer

Today, I bow my knees, at my place of prayer,
Humbly presenting to God my needs, burdens, and cares.

If we humble ourselves and fervently pray,
God has promised to take all of our burdens away.

The memory of 9/11 is a heavy burden to my soul,
At my place of prayer, this heavy burden I unload.

Ask, Seek and Knock was Jesus' timeless plea,
At my place of prayer, I invite His Spirit to lead.

Sometimes the needs are so great and the supply so small,
At my place of prayer, upon His name, I do call.

Without my place of prayer, what would my life be --
I don't even want to think, for my place of prayer
is a very special place,
yes, a very special place indeed!
